Application Process

Registration: Visit the official portal at pmsuryaghar.gov.in and register by selecting your state and electricity distribution company.
System Selection: Use the portal’s tools to determine the appropriate system size and select a registered vendor.
Installation: After vendor selection, the system will be installed at your residence.
Inspection and Commissioning: Post-installation, the system will be inspected by DISCOM officials. Upon successful inspection, a commissioning certificate will be issued.
Subsidy Disbursement: Submit your bank account details on the portal. The subsidy amount will be credited directly to your account within 30 days.

As of May 2025, Gujarat leads the nation with 3.36 lakh rooftop solar systems installed, generating 1,232 MW of energy and saving 1,284 metric tonnes of coal. Other states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Rajasthan are also making significant strides in implementing the scheme.
